Please see the instructions for the DV-2015 Diversity Visa lottery on the State Department’s Consular Affairs Website at:
Entries for the DV-2015 lottery are free and must be submitted electronically using the State Department’s dedicated website for entries:
Applicants are instructed to apply only once. Multiple applications will disqualify the applicant.
The applicants must meet either the educational or the work requirement qualification for the Diversity Visa program.
Once the application is submitted the applicant will receive a confirmation number, which they must keep in order to check if they have been selected for a visa interview.
The Department of State, Office of Visa Services, advises the public of a notable increase in fraudulent emails and letters sent to Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV) program (Visa Lottery) applicants. The scammers behind these fraudulent emails and letters are posing as the U.S. government in an attempt to extract payment from DV applicants.
