Kimball Gallagher and Nidhal Jebali perform for guests at the Ambassador's residence

Ambassador Gordon Gray hosted a soiree musicale at his residence for American pianist Kimball Gallagher and Tunisian violinist Nidhal Jebali on October 18.  Kimball and Nidhal shared center stage for a 45 minute salon-style concert of classical and contemporary works, including one by Tunisian composer Jaloul Ayed.  Kimball Gallagher is in the midst of an 88 concert tour – symbolic of the 88 keys on a piano – of venues around the world and young talent Nidhal Jebali is currently studying music at Indiana University on scholarship. These two musicians were invited by the U.S. Embassy to come to Tunisia and participate in the Octobre Musical at the Acropolium as a part of the Embassy’s cultural exchange programming and in support of the Tenth Annual Daniel Pearl World Music Days.  Additional information About Daniel Pearl World Music Days may be found at http://www.danielpearlmusicadays.org/.
