Tunisian government officials and businesspeople at the International Franchise Expo (IFE): a program coordinated by the Department of Commerce's Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP).

U.S. Embassy Tunis coordinated the visit of Tunisian government officials and businesspeople to the International Franchise Expo (IFE) and a follow-on program coordinated by the Department of Commerce's Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP).  Participation in this program gave delegates a chance to learn more about franchising and create business-to-business contacts.

The Expo, held in New York City on June 15-17, 2012 was  sponsored by the International Franchise Association, the largest global franchising association.  It showcased hundreds of exhibits, featured seminars and workshops on franchising, included participation by the world's leading franchise experts, and allowed delegates to liaise with franchise trade associations, companies and vendors.   Prior to the IFE, CLDP organized private workshops on selected topics for the Tunisian delegation only, such as legal and regulatory workshops, as well as site visits to successful franchisors and franchisees.
